In an attempt to promote fair gameplay and encourage players to interact with PVP we will be implementing the "Surrender Rule"
To Declare surrender you must call out "I Surrender" in global chat. Please use "I Surrender" not "Surrender" as that could be confused with a request for a forced surrender. If you are a boarding party please respect the spirit of this rule in the event someone panic types "I Surenedr" or something to this effect.
- Declarations of surrender must be accepted.
- If you declare surrender it may NOT! be withdrawn once accepted. Failure to comply with a surrender will ultimately ruin valid surrenders for players trying to preserve their grids. Giving gps for an ambush / warping away will not be tolerated.
- The point of this is to provide opportunities to roleplay and protect players learning PVP space. Do NOT abuse this
- Both Parties must Turn off weapons upon a Surrender.
- Once surrender is accepted the aggressor may ues analyze grid / inventory commands to look at your grid to see what it is worth up to 50%.
- In the event the Surrendering parties grid has nothing to take in cargo, they may Negotiate a deal or offer up 50% of their the tech installed on their grid rounded down as payment.
- Aggressor parties are not to hold players time hostage and must conduct analyze's in a timely manner. No more then 15mins, anymore would be considered griefing. Take the publicly acknowledged win and move on.
- Surrendering parties must be allowed to leave after a search.
- Aggressor parties are not to intercept them immediately following a search.
