Plasma HUD Settings
When a EPS Manifold is present on a grid and you are in a cockpit the Plasma Fuel levels will be shown on the HUD. To edit the settings of the Plasma HUD click here for the guide.
To get your starship ready to use Impulse Drives you will need a minimum of the following blocks.
EPS Manifolds to store Electro Plasma and a source for Electro Plasma such as a fill station. Unlike Hydrogen it requires a great deal of power to convert regular plasma to this 5th state of matter but the benefits outweigh the costs. Your ship will be flying like a falcon on a breezless day in space with this kind of power.
Impulse Engines are the focus of this 5th state of matter and the true power behind your ships forward momentum. Unlike standard thrusters these will only work in the forward direction of your ship.
While Impulse is the forward power, RCS thrusters are the heart of your ships mobility. Requiring only power they have the ability to heave even the most massive of ships in the right orbital maneuver.
All of these devices are however underpowered with out the primary computing power of the Impulse Computer. Eventually upgradeable this computer can calculate the right thrust to keep your ship as still as a mountain even in the most fearcest of solar storms. Equipped with a liquid cooled quantum core this processor is out of this world.
To get this all working you need at least the following items on your ship of choice. Expanding this to your ship of choice should be easy for you Engineer!
Now how do you get that precious fuel you need to move your starship?
By grabbing plasma from a warp drive and converting that plasma to electro plasma through the Fusion Reactor.
Note: It is suggested due to the cost of this equipment and its power requirements that this be built on a station within your factions safe zone.
